This is a gel formula, which annoyingly is not stated anywhere in the description. I don\'t like the way gel formulas work because they get sticky. This one also suds when you add water to your face or cotton pad, since the gel dries out. Also, like so many other eye make up removers, it smells a little like liquid shoe polish.
This is a great cleanser. It is a very concentrated gel that you only need 1-2 pumps, which come out very small. My esthetician said the product is intended to be emulsified with water either in your palm or by getting your face wet first. It offers a nice balance of clean skin and not stripping it of it\'s natural moisture. My skin is easily congested but dry, and this seems to keep it less congested and moist - but not greasy.
I liked some of the products in this Starter Kit. I really like the Stone Crop Serum. I have dry/combination skin and I liked using the Serum under a lighter moisturizer/sunscreen like Elta MD SPF 40. I also liked the Moisturizer which is nice and rich for my dry skin. I was disappointed in the Gel Wash and was expecting it to be more concentrated like Ilike's nettle exfoliating wash. I had to use a lot more of the product than I was expecting, and my skin didn't feel as clean as I like. I enjoyed trying the Gel Hydrator and Masque, but doubt I would repurchase. The Gel Hydrator might be good for someone with oily skin. I didn't care for the large chunks in the masque, seems like they could blend it a little more.
I decided to try this after trying the Ilike st. john's wort eye contour cream which was recommended by an Aesthetician. I like that water is not the # 1 ingredient. I also like that it is 1 oz so I could really give it a try, maybe I use too much, but 0.5 oz seems tiny even for my eyes. This cream is very rich and gentle enough that if I get it in my eyes it does not sting. Although if I am sloppy applying it, it can make my vision foggy if my contacts are in. I would consider purchasing this again, however I am still in search of an eye cream that significantly helps in reducing under eye creases. Suggestions?
My aesthetician recommended the Ilike line, which is how I stumbled upon Eminence at SkinCareRx. I do not use exclusively organic products, so any suggestion on under eye creases would be great. Thanks!
