Sharon Christie, founder of Aromafloria, firmly believes that naturally derived skin care products will not only benefit our minds and bodies, but also our environment. Aromafloria was created in 1985 to embrace these principles and build an avenue of alternative skin care based on the therapeutic properties of aromatherapy. The company firmly believes that wellness is a state of mind, smell is essential for well-being, bathing is necessary for overall health, and that nature and science are the greatest team of all.
Aromafloria ingredients come from all around the world. From Romania to Paraguay, the Aromafloria team has searched for and found the best natural ingredients that the Earth has to offer. Salt water from Utah is added to salt scrubs for its mineral-rich properties that aid in skin restoration. A Paraguayan farmer grows organic patchouli used by Aromafloria for fragrant essential oil. The Green Cane Project harvests Sugar Cane in Brazil for the Sugar Scrubs.
Aromafloria also actively supports the Organic Trade Associate, United Plant Savers, Association for Holistic Aromatherapy, American Botanical Council, and the American Herbalist Guild. The company's support of the Amazon Conservation Team ACT has built dormitories for female healers in the Colombian Amazon, ensuring their ability to continue their work.
