The idea for Alaska Glacial Mud Co. was born in 2001 when founder, Lauren Padawer discovered the natural beauty and benefits Alaskan mud had to offer on a rafting trip around the Copper River Delta. The company has since designed products that are helpful and ideal for all skin types, including severely dry and oily skin. Its products are created from natural, organic, and wildcrafted ingredients to provide the best all-natural skin care. Its mission is to spread the joy of the mud from nature while giving back to nature.

All Alaska Glacial Mud Co. products are biodegradable, formulated with certified organic ingredients, contain no synthetic fragrances, colors, or fillers, are cruelty-free, paraben free, and are recyclable. The mud used by Alaska Glacial Mud Co. contains more than 60 major and trace elements, including magnesium, copper, zinc, sulfur, silver, silica, calcium, sodium, potassium, and iron to help minimize the effects of aging and aid the skin in maintaining essential moisture levels. Organic and nature-based ingredients such as kelp, nettle, horsetail, elderflower, yarrow, cranberry, blueberry, and vitamins and B5 are added to provide greater antioxidant protection.
