This product can be worn alone or with mineral powders on top. Your first few pumps will be primarily gel as the minerals are released. This will only happen once, and then the mousse will be consistently even. Be sure to let Liquid Minerals dry completely before judging the color. I love liquid foundations and tried most of them from cover girl to dior, chanel, ysl, mufe etc. This one has a medium coverage, very natural look, makes lines less visible and adds glow thanks to boron nitride (a lot of people complain about this ingredient in BE foundations but I like the glow and it doesn't make me itch). Although I need some matte powder because this glow looks like a oil after few hours (but face is dry it's not actual oil or sebum), I got Jane iredale matte powder and I love it for natural look and for matte look for hours. I like natural ingredients and thsi foundation is super light like a skin. I use Golden glow for my light to medium complexion with yellow undertones.

I'm not a fan of liquid makeup, but once I found this product over three years ago, I changed my tune. The finish gives you an airbrushed look. It doesn't settle into lines and provides excellent all-day, full coverage. It truly moves with your skin and feels very light...as if you weren't wearing makeup at all, which is what we all want, right? Warm Silk is a great yellow-based tone for lighter-skinned olive complexions. I use this shade in the winter, and Warm Sienna in the summer. If you have an olive skin tone, you'll be very pleased at how well this matches your coloring. I had struggled for years to find a good color match for my Mediterranean skin, so this product was truly a godsend. Please be aware that the first few pumps will contain nothing but a clear gel-like substance. This is what the mineral capsules are suspended in. Go ahead and put it on your face, and you'll be pleased at what this gel does for your skin. After those first few pumps, you'll start seeing the actual foundation come out. Another thing to keep in mind is that this product behaves best when you rub it around between your fingers for a few seconds before applying it. Sometimes the capsules need a little help blending with the suspension gel before they are applied to your face. You'll get the best coverage this way. This is the one and only liquid foundation I'll ever use. I just hope they keep making it!

Hi I was disappointed when I bought the powder brush for good money and had it fall apart on me . I agree with another comment about the consistancy of the products such as the liquid mineral make up that the colors are not consistent and I found the powder the same way and I spent $75.00. in canada

medium coverage, air-brushed finish, stays for about 6 hrs. not very moisturizing in winter but it doesn't dry out my skin like the base loose powder. doesn't irritate my sensitive skin or block my pores. so far loved it

the best product to use is liquid mineral's by Jane Iredale. Liposomes that have cellular turnover, and also younger looking hands. wow! everyone should try this and if you do you will love it, great for fine lines and wrinkles, minimizes pores, and also great for using as concealer. check out ingredients.

Let me first say that I have used TONS of different kinds/brands of foundations, and Jane Iredale is by far my absolute favorite! I have used powders and creams and tints of dozens of different brand names, and nothing else compares. Jane Iredale liquid foundation comes in an awesome looking bottle with a pump. To use it, you press down the pump all the way, and a small amount of foundation comes out. That one pump is all I need for my entire face! I put the squirt of foundation on the back of my hand and mix it with my finger. Then I apply it all over my face and neck. Don't worry if at first it looks smeary and cakey, because after a few minutes, the makeup blends with your skin color and looks flawless and dewy! For dark circles, I dot a little under my eyes and wait a moment, and all of a sudden I look perfect! The foundation lasts all day in normal conditions, but if you need a touch up, it's quick and easy. You can just apply more makeup on top and it won't looked caked on. This foundation has a perfect pH level as well, and works great for combination and dry skin. I actually have very oily skin, and this foundation works wonderfully for me as well; instead of looking oily I look dewy and fresh! I have even slept in this makeup and woke up without any blemishes! I have most definitely noticed a change in the quality of my skin. Normally, I break out extremely easily. I would often go to my doctor and beg for medications to clear up my pimples... but no more! After only using this makeup for a few days, I've noticed that my pimples just disappear! My skin is healthy and glowing, and when I wake up in the morning, I absolutely can't wait to put it on! I recommend this product wholeheartedly. The trick is to find a store that carries Jane Iredale products. You can go to their website and find locations near you. I recommend doing this because places that sell this makeup line have tons of testers, where you can actually find the right shade for you. Please consider buying this makeup. You won't regret it! You'll be doing something healthy for your skin and the environment, and you'll look absolutely beautiful, I promise!

I have tried everything from LaPraire to Covergirl and this is clearly the best. It is the only thing that doesn't break my skin out (and I am well into middle-age). Finding the best color is the only catch!

I've tried a lot of foundation and this is the best I've used. I'm rating it a 4 because the price is the most I've paid for foundation and it does not provide coverage to hide scars. You would have to use a concealer. However, it feels and looks great on your skin.

I've used everything from La Prairie, Chanel, etc. If you know how to use this product, you can achieve the best results! You have to work with it and sometimes combine 2 shades to match yours. Most people forget your color changes during seasons. I have 2 I use for summer and winter. It's by far the best product to use and for your face.

I just recieved my Jane Iredale makeup in the mail, and I'm wearing it today for the first time. I absolutely love it! I bought the liquid minerals warm sienna-warm. At first I wasnt sure about the makeup when I rubbed it on my hand to see what it was like.. but right after you smear it evenly, the color is noticeable & your skin is flawless. I have some scars on my face from acne, and I thought it wouldnt cover everything up. I was wrong. Its great! It feels like Im wearing no makeup at all, and I love that! I hate the feeling of foundation caked on your face. I definitely recommend this to everyone! Im hoping that this makeup will improve my skin :)

It's rather difficult to find the perfect color in these shades... They are pretty radical between pure yellow and blush pink. So I found two that suit me best and combined 1:3 ratio. LOVE IT. It's an extra step in the morning, but my skin looks GREAT!

I had been looking for years for a "natural looking" foundation. Everything I bought made me look so fake and "painted". Liquid Mineral is awesome. Sets quick and is dry to the touch, not oily. My face looks so natural and with great coverage. I would recommend going a shade darker. It sets a little lighter than it looks. Wish I had found this product a long time ago.

I have tried dozens of foundations over the course of my life and have never found one as incredible as these liquid minerals. I have often fallen asleep with it on and in the morning and my skin looks beautifully smooth and radiant. I keep one bottle at home and one in my purse for the gym. It is well worth the money spent!

I love Iredale Liquid Minerals. I started using it two years ago and I can see a huge difference in my skin. I love how my skin looks alive and glows when I use this product.
